RepVine allows individuals and companies to collect and display references. The site allows you to see what people say about themselves and what others have to say about them. Anyone can view the basic information, but only members of RepVine can contribute. The first step in requesting references and contributing references to those you know is to create an account. RepVine allows you to provide as much or as little information about yourself as you would like, and getting started takes thirty seconds or less. RepVine provides each member with the ability to include a bio, keywords that describe themselves (tags), and challenge phrases (statements you say that others can vote on), among other things.

If you come to RepVine after seeing our seal on another site and would like one of your own, the process is straightforward. To begin, simply complete the very quick sign-up process and enter as little or as much information, including your bio, tags, and challenge phrases. Then, invite others to provide you with references and vote on your challenge phrases.

If you received a request to contribute to someone’s reputation, we require that you complete the quick sign-up process, and then you can provide them with a reference. Consider each request a compliment as that person believes you can help others better understand them not just in writing a reference but in judging and voting on others in that person's community.

You do not have to write a reference for everyone that invites you to join their community, and similarly, those whom you invite are not required to supply you with a reference. Members first establish a connection which enables voting and reference leaving, both of which occur when the user chooses.
