Bob Steimle, a veteran controller and business leader, joined Janesville Acoustics, Inc. in 2010 as the Regional Controller for the Northern United States. Bob Steimle brings over three decades of experience in the automotive industry to this position. Based in Norwalk, Ohio, Janesville Acoustics is one of the leading producers of acoustic and thermal fiber insulation in the world. Bob Steimle oversaw a team 63 professionals, including 5 regional controllers and 19 plant controllers, and he was responsible for creating a unified company culture following an acquisition that involved 7 companies in 5 countries with 8 separate accounting practices. Additionally, Bob Steimle hired over 20 accounting professionals for his division and established a regional management structure. Bob Steimle also spent three years at MANN+HUMMEL USA Inc. as the Controller for USA Manufacturing Automotive. MANN+HUMMEL USA designs air induction systems and intake manifolds used by all major automobile manufacturers in North America, and Bob Steimle managed the firm’s business development and acquisition efforts. Bob Steimle created a strategic roadmap; implemented Value Add Layering, margin analysis, costing, and budgeting tools; and acted as the principal liaison between the US division and the Corporate Group Controller in Germany. Bob Steimle began his career in the automotive industry with Dana Corporation, where he held a series of financial and business management positions between 1979 and 2005. Bob Steimle holds a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University and enjoys playing the piano in his spare time.
