Dedicated to the ideal that every person deserves a good education, Major Hammett believes in the age-old principle that “a teacher’s job is to teach, and a student’s job is to learn.” As such, Major Hammett runs Education Funding Group, LLC with the goal of raising as much capital for school districts as possible without interfering in either the day-to-day responsibilities of educators and administrators or the edification of young scholars.

Major Hammett has amassed more than $22 million in funds for over 200 public K-12 school districts across the country. Using an exclusive model designed around $10 restaurant and entertainment discount cards, Major Hammett began the campaign as a pilot program, only to find that students enjoyed selling the Education Foundation Group (EFG) cards both to receive rewards and help out their schools. To date, Major Hammett’s Education Funding Group, LLC has instrumentally assisted districts of all sizes in raising money for scholarships, grants, technology, and other academic necessities. Major Hammett’s charitable drives are unique in that they require little-to-no effort on the part of teachers and principals.

Major Hammett and Education Funding Group, LLC’s success is due in large part to a dedicated staff of teachers and business professionals that collectively wield 320 years of educational experience. Always looking toward the future, Major Hammett has set a goal to certify his entire team in school foundation work, providing them with the appropriate expertise to regulate Education Funding Group, LLC’s philanthropic agenda. Additionally, Major Hammett works closely with the National School Foundation Association (NSFA), for which he has helped organize a School Foundation Certification for foundation directors. In addition, Major Hammett networks with more than 1,000 school administrators, introducing them to the myriad benefits of Education Funding Group, LLC, as a collaborator with the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals (MAESP). Major Hammett gained a solid background in business development and financial management as a graduate of Missouri State University’s College of Business Administration before turning his attention to foundation work.
