Patricia Trebesch maintains roles as a respected figure in Arizona’s legal community and a committed child welfare advocate. Patricia Trebesch attended the University of Arizona, where she studied law and political science. Patricia Trebesch earned her undergraduate degree in three years with honors and received her Juris Doctor in 1986. Following graduation, Patricia Trebesch worked at the Maricopa County Public Defender's Office as a trial lawyer. Later, Patricia Trebesch secured a position at the Arizona Legislature as an attorney for the Senate Judiciary Committee.
At present, Patricia Trebesch serves as Section Chief Counsel for the Arizona Attorney General's Office. Patricia Trebesch’s work in this capacity, particularly her superior skills in leadership and management, earned her multiple honors and distinctions over the past 16 years.
A proponent of children in the child welfare system, Patricia Trebesch focuses her efforts on improving the lives of young people. Patricia Trebesch has served on the Arizona Foster Care Review Board, as well as the Yavapai County Juvenile Court Community Advisory Board. Patricia Trebesch has also participated in Arizona’s Best for Babies “Think Tank,” a group of child welfare advocates, service providers and legal professionals dedicated to improving the behavioral health needs of infants and toddlers placed in protective custody. Additionally, Patricia Trebesch supports Prevent Child Abuse Arizona. Sharing her experience as an attorney with teenagers aspiring to enter the legal profession, Patricia Trebesch has also served as a Mock Trial Coach at Tri-City College Preparatory High School.
